Privacy Policy
Last updated 5 September 2026. This describes exactly what this website collects and what we do with it. It is short because the site does very little.
Who we are
YachtCova arranges private yacht and boat charters in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico. You can reach us at yachtcova@gmail.com, on +1 786 533 0756 or on WhatsApp at +1 602 873 1964.
What we collect
If you fill in a booking form on this site we collect the name, email address, phone number, charter date, guest count, occasion and any notes you type. That is all. We do not ask for payment details on this website and we never will.
If you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email, we hold that conversation and your contact details so we can answer you and organise your charter.
How we use it
Only to reply to you, quote your charter, confirm the booking and coordinate the day itself. We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it with anybody outside the crew and suppliers who need it to run your charter, such as the captain, the caterer or a photographer you asked us to book.
Where it goes
Form submissions are processed by Netlify, which hosts this website, and are forwarded to our email. Netlify stores them on its servers in the United States. WhatsApp messages sit with Meta under their own terms.
Cookies and measurement
This website sets no cookies of its own and has no advertising trackers baked into the page. If we are running Google Ads or Google Analytics, those services set their own cookies to measure whether an advert led to an enquiry. You can block them in your browser settings and the site will work exactly the same.
The one exception is the video on the home page: it does not load anything from YouTube until you press play, and even then it uses the no cookie version of the player.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that turn into bookings are kept for as long as we need them for our records and for Mexican tax purposes. Enquiries that go nowhere are deleted when they are no longer useful, generally within two years.
Your choices
Write to yachtcova@gmail.com and ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will do it. If you no longer want messages from us, say so in one line and we stop.
Children
This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anybody under 16. Children are very welcome on the boats, with their families.
Changes
If this policy changes we update the date at the top of this page.
This policy describes our actual practice in plain language. It is not legal advice, and if you operate in a market with specific requirements you should have a lawyer review it.
