What the 45 ft VanDutch Is Like in Cabo
A VanDutch is a design object before it is a boat. There is no flybridge, no clutter and no fussy detailing, just a low, wide hull and an enormous open deck. On the water off El Arco it looks like nothing else in the marina, which is exactly why it gets booked for photo shoots, engagement sessions and anybody who cares how the day looks afterwards.
It is a day boat rather than a floating hotel, so book it for a fast, stylish few hours around Land’s End and the beaches rather than a long lazy afternoon at anchor. Twelve guests fit comfortably on the cockpit seating and the foredeck.

How much is the VanDutch in Cabo San Lucas?
From $600 an hour with a 3 hour minimum, which puts a short charter at around $1,800 for the whole boat and up to 12 guests. The rate covers the captain, crew and fuel.
Why is the VanDutch more than other 45 ft boats?
Because of what it is. A VanDutch is a design led day boat and there are very few of them in Cabo, so it carries a premium over a standard 45 ft cruiser. If the photographs matter to you it is worth the difference.
Is the VanDutch good for a proposal?
It is one of the best boats we have for it. The open foredeck with nothing behind you but El Arco is about as clean a backdrop as Cabo offers.
Does it have a bathroom and shade?
There is a bathroom below and a bimini over the cockpit, but this is an open day boat rather than a yacht with an air conditioned salon. For a long afternoon in August the 65 ft Sea Ray is the more comfortable choice.
